GEOINT 2011

We always try to create something bigger, better and cooler, but this time we just may have topped ourselves. For the GEOINT 2011 Symposium, we wrapped the room in video. It’s been said that everything is better in HD. Well, this year our pixel resolution was 9000×1080. With sync rolled digital playback, we created animated video across the entire set as if it was a seamless screen. The graphics for the show were run off multi-head PCs in order to give us the 9000 pixels of horizontal resolution. The result was a mind-blowing design that engulfed the entire audience in imagery — a true digital set that allowed us to change the look and feel of the room with the push of a button. The final event was a 70s night with full screen video eye candy over the backgrounds, all custom made in After Effects.

Verizon VDC 2011

The meeting theme said it all: Meet the Machine. The 2011 Verizon App Developers conference was all about introducing and promoting Verizon and its network to their development community. Mechanical gears inspired the design; our task was to bring them to life. Using a combination of Maya and After Effects, we created numerous video elements showcasing apps, gears and Verizon. The general session stage set was a four-screen design and with the use of multiple playback systems, we were able to sync roll video across all the surfaces. In additional to the general session, video content was created for digital signage, LED curtains and the digital lounge.

NACS 2011

The 2011 National Association of Convenience Stores was designed as a two-screen show. INTER-TAIN created the overall look, animated walk-in sequences and show graphics. We were also responsible for creating the video bumper to be used for NACS TV “The Blue Couch”

CTIA Mobile ME 2011

In 2011 CTIA Mobile Me spring conference held in Orlando used 2 large 16×9 outboard screens and 1 center curved widescreen. INTER-TAIN assisted with show continuity, After Effects video animations for walkin, walkout and speaker transitions. We used multiple machines to handle the different screen routing as well as the various forms of media we were provided to display.

The Home Depot 2011

For the 2011 Home Depot show they turned to a game show atmosphere to try and lighten up a full day of business meetings. We all know how live shows can go and not knowing what a contestant might say or do, we turned to Adobe director to code a game engine so we could truly make the audience and the game interactive. We setup a two-screen interface giving the show operator a game control panel on one screen while projecting the game graphics out on the second. As responses, scores and input where given you could simply click areas on the control panel to graphically update the show to the audience. This has always been a successful approach because it enables the crew and producers to have full control over their show.

CVS/CareMark

CVS Caremark holds a manager and client user conference every year and INTER-TAIN has assisted in the production of these two shows for the past 2 years. This year they turned to a center widescreen and 2 outboard 16×9 screens to design and present content throughout the show.

Verizon CES 2011

At CES 2011 Verizon Wireless turned to INTER-TAIN to help launch their new 4G LTE network, the fastest network in America. In partnership with over 40 other companies, Verizon Wireless kicked off their launch with a press conference followed by the opening of the their largest booth ever at CES. With a launch this big it was important that everything had a consistent look and feel and kept to brand guidelines. Working with these 40 companies INTER-TAIN developed cohesive graphics and liquid eye candy videos for the press conference, keynote presentation and the booth where the videos presented and demonstrated the new products running on the new 4G LTE network.

Verizon VDC

In September of 2010 Verizon held an apps developers conference in Las Vegas. It was important for this show to be high value and impactful since we were dealing with customers and not an internal staff. The set design was a center wide screen and outboard cubes. We used After Effects to develop various 3D animated environments. Speech content was developed using Adobe Director so it was more dynamic than your typical PowerPoint presentation. Not only did content play on the center screen, but we had various segments that sync rolled on the outboard cubes using media servers.

USGIF – GEOINT 2010

For this year’s show we turned to big digital scenic, not just a widescreen, but the entire set. We had seven double stacks of projection – Five for our background scenic elements and two for content to be projected over them. At anytime we were able to change the look and feel of the entire room from routing various images to each of the five surfaces. In addition to photos we had the ability to play a single video over the entire five surfaces or we could play individual videos on any of the five surfaces. Not only did we design the content for the general session meetings but we also assist in the designs for the breakouts and conference signage.
