The meeting theme said it all: Meet the Machine. The 2011 Verizon App Developer’s conference was all about introducing and promoting Verizon and its network to their development community. Mechanical gears inspired the design; our task was to bring them to life. Using a combination of Maya and After Effects, we created numerous video elements showcasing apps, gears and Verizon. The general session stage set was a four-screen design and, with the use of multiple playback systems, we were able to sync roll video across all of the surfaces. In additional to the general session, video content was created for digital signage, LED curtains and the digital lounge.
